This DVD is volume 42 in a series called Outstanding Leaders in Dentistry, which explores leadership of people who have significantly contributed to dentistry. This is an interview with John Zapp, who talks about his life and career in dentistry. He is best known for being Executive Director of the American Dental Association since 1993. He was called to Washington, D.C. to be the initial Special Assistant of Dental Affairs, U.S. Department of Health Education and Welfare (HEW) and then served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health Legislation in HEW. Prior to being selected by the American Dental Association, he served in the American Medical Association for 19 years. The interview
