Summary This DVD is volume 28 in a series called Outstanding Leaders in Dentistry, which explores leadership of people who have significantly contributed to dentistry. This is an interview with James P. Vernetti, who talks about his life and career in dentistry. He is best known as the nation's authority on operative dentistry. He served as a Associate Clinical Professor at the UCLA and Loma Linda Schools of Dentistry. He been the recipient of four Fellowships, the ACD John Geis Award, the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award of Excellence, the Academy of Gold Foil Operators Distinguished Member Award, the ADI Hillenbrand Award, The Pierre Fauchard Academy Gold Medal Award, and was cited by Northwestern School of Dentistry as one of the ten Legends of Operative Dentistry. The interview was conducted in 1995 and republished on DVD in 2004.
