Summary This DVD is volume 45 in a series called Outstanding Leaders in Dentistry, which explores leadership of people who have significantly contributed to dentistry. This is an interview with Charles A. McCallum, who talks about his life and career in dentistry. He is best known as a distinguished oral surgeon and a physician, Dr. McCallum became Dean of the School of Dentistry, University of Alabama after serving as Chairman of Oral Surgery and a professor of dentistry. In 1977, he became Vice President for Health Affairs and Director of the Medical Center at The University of Alabama in Birmingham In 1987 he became President, University of Alabama at Birmingham. The interview was conducted on May 7, 1999 and republished on DVD around 2006.
