Summary This DVD is volume 20 in a series called Outstanding Leaders in Dentistry, which explores leadership of people who have significantly contributed to dentistry. This is an interview with Maynard K. Hine, who talks about his life and career in dentistry. He is best known for serving as dean of the University of Indiana School of Dentistry from 1945 to 1968. In 1968, he became the first Chancellor of the IUPUI, a partnership between Indiana University and Perdue University at Indianapolis, Indiana, a position he held until 1973. He served as president of the American Dental Association, held seven honorary degrees and authored five books and numerous articles. He was one of the founders of the American Board of Endodontics. The interview was conducted in 1990 and republished on DVD around 2004.
