  1. Newsletter - Volume 10, number 3 of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's DENTALUM newsletter, published over the winter of 1993-1994. The newsletter is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black ink, with the exception of the newsletter's logo and some internal headings, which are printed in teal ink. The newsletter contains thirty-eight black and white photographs, as well as a demographic profile of the incoming class of 1993, a listing of upcoming continuing education courses, and a submission form for news items for the next issue. 28 pages, not including the interior back cover, which also contains text. The front cover contains the newsletters logo with DENTAL printed in solid teal letters and UM printed in block stencil letters outlined in teal. Beneath that is a black and white photograph of Dr. Brien Lang, a faculty member, seated at a desk and typing at a computer workstation. The back cover is solid teal, as is the left border of the front cover. The magazine is bound with staples, and most of the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the cover text and some interior headings, which are printed in white, blue, or yellow ink. The magazine contains one color photograph, sixty-six black and white photographs, graphs showing funding sources for research grants, a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue, a nomination form for the Alumni Society's Board of Governors, and a map graphic showing where the Alumni Society's Board of Governors lives. 40 pages. Front and back covers are dark blue. Front cover has newsletter logo with "DENTAL" in white and "UM" in yellow. Beneath that is a color photograph of Dean William Kotowicz, Assistant Dean Arnold Morawa, and Gary Owen standing outside the dental school building and looking at paper construction plans resting atop a stack of cinder blocks. Beneath the photograph, in the bottom right corner, is text in white listing some articles in the magazine. The back is solid dark blue, save for mailing information printed in white.
