The newsletter is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black ink. The newsletter contains forty black and white photographs, as well as a demographic profile of the dental school's incoming class of 1992, several graphics related to a fundraising campaign, a submission form for news items for the next issue, and an order form for School of Dentistry sweatshirts and t-shirts. 28 pages, not including the interior back cover, which contains an event notice and two photographs. The cover features the newsletter's logo, with the "UM" in "DENTALUM" in block stencil letters, and a photograph of a man and a woman, David Smit and Dolores Kerns, posing as though Smit is providing dental care to Kerns.
