1. Newsletter - Volume 12, number 3 of the the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's DENTALUM newsletter, published for the winter of 1995/1996. The newsletter is bound with stapes, and most of the text is printed in blue ink. Some interior headings are printed in white against blue backgrounds, and some are printed in blue ink. The cover text is printed in white, also against a solid blue background. The newsletter contains twenty black and white photographs, a color reprint of a poster for the Grand Rapids Fluoridation Commemorative, a demographic profile of the School of Dentistry's incoming class of 1995, an announcement for the Midwinter Meeting of the Chicago Dental Society, and a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue. 28 pages, not including the interior back cover, which also contains text. The front cover contains the newsletter's logo--with "DENTAL" in block white letters and "UM" in block gold letters--at the top. Beneath that is a color reprint of a poster or announcement for the Grand Rapids Fluoridation Commerative, which features a church building, two women in blue caps and gowns, the Grand Rapids skyline surrounded by green trees, and other images in watercolor. Beneath that is a brief listing of newsletter features in white text. The back cover is solid blue with a white box for mailing information in the center. A typed label addresses the newsletter to Jane E. Becker at the Sindecuse Museum. 2. Newsletter - Volume 14, number 1 of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's DENTALUM magazine, published for the summer and fall of 1997. The magazine is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black with the exceptions of the cover text, which is printed in yellow and gold, and some interior headings, which are printed in dark blue or white. The newsletter contains one color photograph, sixty-one black and white photographs, a reprint of a Peanuts comic, prints of architectural plans for the dental school's expansion, a reader survey, a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue, a homecoming announcement, a registration form for a reception at the ADA Annual meeting, and a map graphic showing where the Alumni Society Board of Governors lives. 32 pages. The cover contains a color photograph of Burton Tower and the School of Dentistry, with East Hall in the foreground. The foliage on trees in mixed green, yellow, and red, and the sky is cloudy with intense yellow light from a sunrise or sunset behind them. The backgrounds of the both the front and back covers are solid blue. The front cover contains the newsletters logo with "DENTAL" in white and "UM" in yellow, as well as small white text listing features in the magazine. The back cover is dark blue, save for mailing information.
