  2. Newsletter - The Spring and Summer 2000 issue of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's DENTALUM magazine. The magazine is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the cover text and some interior headings and emphasized text, which are printed in white, blue, or gold. The newsletter contains one color photograph, above fifty black and white photographs, four explanatory graphs, a map displaying the locations of community outreach partners, a ballot for the Alumni Society Board of Governors, and a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue. 76 pages, not including the interior back cover, which contains a photograph and some text. The front cover is covered entirely by a color photograph. In the photograph, Dr. Jed Jacobson stands in the center, and behind him, from left to right, are Dr. James Hayward, Dr. Melanie Mayberry, Dr. Robert Russell, and Dr. A.J. Jones, community outreach partners with the School of Dentistry. The five are standing in a stairwell with stained glass windows. All are wearing business attire and smiling. Above them is the newsletters logo, with "Dental" italicized, and in the bottom right corner, "Reaching Out... to Partners...to Serve" is printed in white. The back cover is solid blue, save for mailing information and an empty white box.     The class of 1938 did not have a composite photo created. In 1943, Marcus Ward assembled all of the materials that were needed to create the composite photo, but because of the war, there were not enough resources to actually create the photo.
