1. Newsletter - Spring/Summer 2001 issue of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's DENTALUM magazine. The magazine is printed with staples, and most of the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the cover text and some interior headings and emphasized text, which are printed in blue, gold, or white. The magazine contains above fifty black and white photographs, two reprints of x-rays, a calendar of events, a nomination form for the Dental Hygienists' Alumnae Association Outstanding Alumnae Award, a nomination form for the Alumni Society's Board of Governors, a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue, and an advertisement for a new fundraising effort. 64 pages. The front cover is mostly black, with a white field on the upper fifth portion. The white field contains the magazine's logo, with "Dental" italicized and "DentalUM" printed in dark blue and outlined in yellow. The black portion contains a yellow-orange sphere, which itself contains graphics of DNA helixes, chemical formulas and molecules, and an open mouth. At the upper left corner of the sphere, "THE CENTER FOR THE BIORESTORATION OF ORAL HEALTH" is printed in yellow, and at the bottom right, "Collaboration in Research" is printed in white. The back cover is solid black, save for mailing information and an empty white box. The magazine is bounded with staples, and most of the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the cover text and some interior headings, which are printed in dark blue, white, or gold ink. The magazine contains one color photograph, forty-nine black and white photographs, and a submission form of news items for the upcoming issue. 52 pages. The front cover is covered completely by a photograph of the school's table clinic program. The photograph contains a high-level view with several rows of table clinics and a large variety of presenters and spectators. The cover contains the newsletter's logo at the top, with "Dental" italicized and "UM" in capital letters, with the letters in dark blue outlined in white. "Research Table Clinic Day A Big Success" is printed in the bottom right corner in white. The back cover is solid dark blue, save for mailing information.
