The newsletter is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black ink. The newsletter contains forty black and white photographs, as well as a demographic profile of the dental school's incoming class of 1992, several graphics related to a fundraising campaign, a submission form for news items for the next issue, and an order form for School of Dentistry sweatshirts and t-shirts. 28 pages, not including the interior back cover, which contains an event notice and two photographs. The cover features the newsletter's logo, with the "UM" in "DENTALUM" in block stencil letters, and a photograph of a man and a woman, David Smit and Dolores Kerns, posing as though Smit is providing dental care to Kerns. Smit and Kerns are wearing clothing from the late 1800s or early 1900s, and "Sindecuse Museum Opens" is printed in white ink at the lower right corner of the photograph. 7. Yearbook - Hardcover University of Michigan School of Dentistry Centennial Yearbook 1976. The cover is cream with borders and the title, "BRIDGING A CENTURY," in faded black print. In the center of a cover, roughly one third from the top and partially covered by the title, is the University of Michigan seal. On the right side of the cover is a black and white photograph of a man peforming a dental exam. On the left side of the cover is a black and white photograph of the bust of a statue, and below it a black and white photograph of two people performing lab work. The spine has no label, and the back cover has a logo for "inter collegiate press" at the bottom right corner. The interior pages contain both color and black and white photographs of the dental school and dental school activities near the front. After that, all the photographs become black and white and include profile photographs of 1976 students and graduates from all dental school programs at the university, photographs of faculty and staff, group photographs of student organizations, and photographs of students going about their daily lives at the dental school. The last few pages include advertisements, mainly for dental products. 144 pages.

"G*N*A*S*H '78" is embossed lengthwise along the left edge, starting from the lower corner, in shiny silver stencil letters. Inside, the yearbook contains a cover page with black and white photographs, brief introductory text, black and white photographs of daily life at the dental school, black and white photographs of students (dental and dental hygiene), black and white photographs (mixed group and individual) of dental school faculty and staff, black and white photographs from the 1978 dental school graduation, and advertisements for dental labs and material suppliers. 144 pages.
