1. Newsletter - Spring/Summer 2001 issue of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's DENTALUM magazine. The magazine is printed with staples, and most of the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the cover text and some interior headings and emphasized text, which are printed in blue, gold, or white. The magazine contains above fifty black and white photographs, two reprints of x-rays, a calendar of events, a nomination form for the Dental Hygienists' Alumnae Association Outstanding Alumnae Award, a nomination form for the Alumni Society's Board of Governors, a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue, and an advertisement for a new fundraising effort. 64 pages. The front cover is mostly black, with a white field on the upper fifth portion. The white field contains the magazine's logo, with "Dental" italicized and "DentalUM" printed in dark blue and outlined in yellow. The black portion contains a yellow-orange sphere, which itself contains graphics of DNA helixes, chemical formulas and molecules, and an open mouth. At the upper left corner of the sphere, "THE CENTER FOR THE BIORESTORATION OF ORAL HEALTH" is printed in yellow, and at the bottom right, "Collaboration in Research" is printed in white. The back cover is solid black, save for mailing information and an empty white box. The newsletter is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black ink, with the exception of the newsletter's logo and some interior headings, which are printed in dark red ink, and mailing information on the back cover, which is printed in white. The newsletter contains thirty-four black and white photographs, a registration form for the International Fluoride Symposium, announcement about the upcoming homecoming and Midwinter Meeting of the Chicago Dental Society, a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue, a nomination form for the Alumni Society Board of Governors, and a map graphic showing where the Alumni Society Board of Governors lives. The front cover contains the newsletter's logo, with "DENTAL" in block red letters and "UM" in block white stencils letters outlined in red, as well as three black and white photographs of Dr. Thomas Graber receiving an honorary degree. The background is pale pink. The back cover is solid dark red, as is the left edge of the front cover.
