1. Newsletter - Volume 10, number 1 of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's DENTALUM newsletter (formerly known as "Alumni News"), published in Spring 1993. The newsletter is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black ink, with the exception of the newsletter's title, cover text, and some interior headings, which are printed in red ink. The newsletter contains forty-four black and white photographs, a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue, and a map graphic showing where the Alumni Board of Governors lives. 24 pages, not including the interior back cover, which contains photographs are the map graphic. The cover contains the newsletter's logo, with the "UM" in "DENTALUM" in block stencil letters, and a left-aligned black and white photograph of two individuals working in the biosafety level 3 lab. The newsletter is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the newsletter's logo, cover text, and interior headings, which are printed in blue and/or white ink. The newsletter contains one color photograph, thirty-two black and white photographs, two x-ray reprints, a map graphic showing where the Alumni Board of Governors live, a submission form for news items for the next issue, and a list of upcoming continuing education courses. 16 pages, not including the back cover, which contains black and white photographs of the Alumni Board of Governors and the map graphic. The cover contains the newsletter's logo, with "DENTAL" in blue letters outlined in white and "UM" in white letters outlined in blue, and a color photograph of Dr. Clifford Thomas, Melissa Whitman, and Joan W. Barth. Clifford and Barth are seated, and Whitman stands in between and slightly behind them. Clifford and Whitman and wearing white lab coats, and Barth is wearing a pink blouse and brown skirt. "Geriatric Dentistry: Keeping Pace With Our Senior Citizens" is printed in white italicized ink at the lower right of the photograph.
