The newsletter is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black ink, with the exception of the newsletter's logo and an interior extracted quote, which are printed in golden ink. The newsletter contains two color photographs, twenty-eight black and white photographs, and a submission form for news items for the next issue. 19 pages. The front cover contains the newsletter logo--the "UM" in DENTALUM appears in block stencil letters--and the text "School Hosts National Conference on Black Dentistry / story on page 6." Two color photographs, both from the conference, one of keynote speaker Dr. Audrey Manley and one of a meeting, appear on the cover.
