1. Newsletter - Spring/Summer 2001 issue of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's DENTALUM magazine. The magazine is printed with staples, and most of the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the cover text and some interior headings and emphasized text, which are printed in blue, gold, or white. The magazine contains above fifty black and white photographs, two reprints of x-rays, a calendar of events, a nomination form for the Dental Hygienists' Alumnae Association Outstanding Alumnae Award, a nomination form for the Alumni Society's Board of Governors, a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue, and an advertisement for a new fundraising effort. 64 pages. The front cover is mostly black, with a white field on the upper fifth portion. The white field contains the magazine's logo, with "Dental" italicized and "DentalUM" printed in dark blue and outlined in yellow. The black portion contains a yellow-orange sphere, which itself contains graphics of DNA helixes, chemical formulas and molecules, and an open mouth. At the upper left corner of the sphere, "THE CENTER FOR THE BIORESTORATION OF ORAL HEALTH" is printed in yellow, and at the bottom right, "Collaboration in Research" is printed in white. The back cover is solid black, save for mailing information and an empty white box. The newsletter is bound with staples, and the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the newsletter's logo and some interior headings, which are printed in green ink. The newsletter contains forty-four black and white photographs, as well as a graph representing fundraising progess, a submission form for news items for the next issue, an announcement about 1994 homecoming, a nomination form for the Alumni Board of Governors, and a map showing where the Alumni Board of Governors lives. 24 pages, not including the interior back cover, which includes the map graphic and some photographs. The cover contains the newsletter's logo with "DENTAL" in block green letters and "UM" in block stencil letters outlined in green. The lower half and upper right of the cover feature six black and white photographs of dental school students and faculty at a table clinic program. The back cover is solid green (except for mailing information printed in white), as is the left edge of the front cover.
