3. Table, Bracket - This wooden bracket table, made in the mid to late 1800s, features carved metal feet stoppers in shape of an animal's claws and fur. The front and back sides of table each have 4 horizontal drawers with circular metal pulls in center. Bracket tables featured slender legs which could be moved close to the dentist and patient and allow for instruments to be readily at hand during procedures. Other models were wall-mounted to extendable and contractible accordion brackets and helped free up valuable floor space in small office areas.
