1. Newsletter - Spring/Summer 2001 issue of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's DENTALUM magazine. The magazine is printed with staples, and most of the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the cover text and some interior headings and emphasized text, which are printed in blue, gold, or white. The magazine contains above fifty black and white photographs, two reprints of x-rays, a calendar of events, a nomination form for the Dental Hygienists' Alumnae Association Outstanding Alumnae Award, a nomination form for the Alumni Society's Board of Governors, a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue, and an advertisement for a new fundraising effort. 64 pages. The front cover is mostly black, with a white field on the upper fifth portion. The white field contains the magazine's logo, with "Dental" italicized and "DentalUM" printed in dark blue and outlined in yellow. The black portion contains a yellow-orange sphere, which itself contains graphics of DNA helixes, chemical formulas and molecules, and an open mouth. At the upper left corner of the sphere, "THE CENTER FOR THE BIORESTORATION OF ORAL HEALTH" is printed in yellow, and at the bottom right, "Collaboration in Research" is printed in white. The back cover is solid black, save for mailing information and an empty white box. The magazine is bound with staples, and most of the text is printed in black ink, with the exceptions of the cover text, some interior headings, and some interior emphasized text, which is printed in white, yellow, or blue. The magazine contains twenty-seven color photographs, twenty-eight black and white photographs, a demographic profile of the incoming class of 1997, a schedule of continuing dental education courses, and a submission form for news items for the upcoming issue. 28 pages, not including the interior back cover, which also contains text. The front and back covers are dark blue. The front cover contains the magazine's logo, with "DENTAL" in white and "UM" in yellow, and a large color photograph of two donors, a man and a woman, to the Campaign for Michigan. Beneath that, in the lower right corner of the front cover, is a black and white photograph of a child receiving dental care and the text "Celebring 75 years of Dental Hygiene at Michigan" in white. The back cover is solid dark blue, save for mailing information. At the center of the back cover, a white label has been pasted over an addressee's information.
