This black-and-white photograph is one of a set of fifty that was removed from an album given to the Sindecuse Museum in May of 1998 from Robert Lorey, DDS Biological Material Sciences faculty. It depicts four men wearing long winter jackets. They are standing on a piece of plywood that has been laid in the grass within an area that has been sectioned off with rope. One man is speaking into a microphone and holding a shovel. There is a large building in the background and bare trees. Paper slipped printed with caption reading "University President Harlan Hatcher, Senior Class President Frederic N. Smith, and Dean Mann at groundbreaking ceremonies." |
