This portrait possibly depicts Corwin Wright (07/08/1906 - 07/30/1980). The man is in his fifties or sixties and wears his gray hair parted to the side. He also wears glasses, a dark suit, white shirt and a striped tie. Dr. Wright began his career at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry as an instructor in clinical dentistry in the 1929-1930 academic year after graduating from the University of Michigan College of Dental Surgery that same year. He later moved to teaching denture prosthesis in 1936-1937. He was promoted to an assistant professor of Complete Denture Prosthesis in 1940-1941 and, in 1950-1951, was promoted to an Associate Professorship. He assumed full professorship in the 1954-1955 academic year and held this position until his retirement in 1973-1974. |
